Der Junge Werther - Funtime (1988)

In 1988 the group records a second demo called "Funtime". It is recorded on a 2 track recorder in Studio 21 in Bolsward. Between 1986 and 1988 the band has a gig every month. They play at Mukpop and even on a national radioshow called "De Krijsende Tafel" with Marc Stakenburg as host.
This was a weird performance without Leo, who has already left the band. After that Bert also wants to stop they decide to call an end to the group and perform for the last time in It Badhûs in Zwaagwesteinde on April 20, 1990.
On the 10th anniversary of De Kleine Prijs Van Sneek in 1993, they re-unite for one more performance.
Der Junge Werther would split up in many other bands such as Ubangi 4, De Trije Gurbes, Sketchers and Sebeare.

The legendary LP by M.O.G.
Released on Eksakt recor4ds in 1988 and very hard to find these days.

This was the fore last release by M.O.G. They'd only appear on a 10" entitled "I Let You In If The House Was n Fire" also available on this blog.

Well, as we are busy sharing hard to find records... this is one to get. M.O.G. (Muziekvereniging Ons Genoegen) was a legendary hardcore band from Leeuwarden. Their debut 7" the Radio Rock EP is known on the internet but you never see their second 7" or the LP on a blog. The album will follow later but here is the Crap Rap 7".

Sempiternal Deathreign - Creepshow (1988)

Early underground Death/Doom act from The Netherlands that has almost completely disappeared into oblivion. Raw Death/Doom-metal with a lot of pure Death-metal influences. The band was actually one of the earliest Death/Doom acts around, and in the vein of those early Death/Doom pioneers, still sounded a lot more raw and "death-ish" than later Death/Doom acts did. Hard to find and very obscure these days.
