The Germs - The Starwood 3-12-1980

''One day you will pray to me''
- Darby Crash, interviewed 1979

On December 3 1980 the Germs reunited for one last farewell gig at the Starwood. Darby spent a lot of the gig trying to explain what it had all been about. He also wasn't very happy about the influence he was having on his audience, with all the wannabe Darby clones. Maybe this was part of the reason for his suicide... On December 7th 1980 Darby Crash killed himself. He and a girl had taken 400 dollars of rent money and bought 400 dollars worth of heroin. Darby shot up the girl and pinned a note on the wall that said: ''Here lies Darby Crash'' with an arrow pointing to his head, and spread himself out like a cross. He then took what he needed to die. When the girl woke up and found him dead she too tried to kill herself. She

OD'd, but was found and taken to hospital. Suicide is always a failure and Darby's death was doubly so, as John Lennon was murdered the next day,

something that kept the news of his suicide out of the press for almost a week. His last Jesus-theatrics turned out to be wasted too. Compared to Lennon being shot, Darby's OD suicide wasn't much of a martyr's death..... (Source)

After two records, the band shortened their name to Macht and released one demo before splitting up. Drummer Brian Lehfeldt went on to play with Cryptic Slaughter and then sang for the now defunct "goofy funk band", Sweaty Nipples. Tito Matos and Marco Zorich formed Spazztic Blurr and released 1 albu

m called "The Before...and After" on Earache Records. Here is that demo...

Wehrmacht - Live 11-7-1986

Wehrmacht is an American thrash metal/hardcore band, that was formed in Portland, Oregon in 1985. After releasing two albums on New Renaissance Records, the band split up.

Matos and Zorich went on to form Spazztic Blurr and Lehfeldt went to Cryptic Slaughter. Matos now appears as a DJ under the name Mestizo69 and also continues as a vocalist. Lehfeldt also played with Sweaty Nipples and toured with Everclear. His most recent projects are Drumattica and Tri-polar. Mortimer went on to play with the Nervous Christians and Bastard Children of the Roman Empire. He is now a criminal defense attorney. Duffy has continued playing music, most recently with the band Kapuda.

Despite the band's name they do not have Nazi ideals.

With "Micro-E!" they recorded the shortest metal-song ever, the length being just 0.1 seconds.

GG Allin liked a drink.... or 2 !!!!

GG Allin - Live Fast Die Fast (1984)

You can say of the man what you want but he kept
his word, tho not everything happened the way he wanted it. GG once promised that he would commit suicideon stage by using dynamite and taking some of his fans with him. Allin died of an accidental heroin overdose in New York City on June 28, 1993, in the Manhattan apartment of John Handley Hurt and Dwanna Yount

In his last show the power went out during the second song, after which he trashed the venue and walked the streets of New York naked and covered in blood and feces, surrounded by fans whom he openly embraced.

Here is his premonitial EP from 1984 "Live Fast Die Fast". I dunno if he died fast but he sure lived like that.

And the man got buried with his microphone and a bottle of Jack...
